Four Generations of Kershaws In 40 years! Back

Not many companies can boast in this day and age that they have employed four generations from one family. 

We are proud to say the Kershaw family have been involved with the Hankinson Group since the start and now in the Group’s 40th year of trading.

Firstly back in 1975 Francis Kershaw worked with our Founder and now President Roy Hankinson in establishing Roy Hankinson Limited.

Francis’ son Frank Kershaw joined the Hankinson Group in 2004 as Operations Manager heading up the Blasting Division together with Frank’s son Neil Kershaw (Contracts Manager) and daughter Clare Kershaw( Assistant Commercial Surveyor)

The youngest member of the Kershaw family Daniel (19) Neil’s son and great grandson to Francis joined in 2013 and works as a Painter in the Blasting Team. (Daniel is pictured below).

Daniel commented “It is really good to work for a family company that my great granddad was involved with. I also get to work with not only my dad but my granddad too!”

Stephen Hankinson, Group Chief Executive commented “One of the strengths of the Hankinson Group is that it is a third generation family business run with family values.  Having other families within our family is also very important to us and we are delighted to have had four generations of the Kershaw family within the business.  We look forward to Daniel having a career as successful as the previous three generations”.
