Integrated Environmental & Quality Policy Statement



Hankinson  Group is a medium sized painting and property maintenance company based in Wirral and operating nationally for a variety of clients.  We offer services to Commerce and Industry including:

  1. Painting & decorating;
  2. Abrasive blasting;
  3. Industrial and hygienic coatings;
  4. Specialist decorations;
  5. Property maintenance services. 


We recognise that our operations generate environmental impacts. We have developed and implemented an Integrated Management System (IMS) covering the environmental and quality management of the Group.  This policy statement documents the core principles of the IMS.


The satisfaction of our customers is vital and we are committed to providing a service that meets and exceeds industry standards. We are committed to the protection of the environment, pollution prevention and sustainable resource use.  We are part of the communities in which we operate, and we will involve ourselves where we believe we can help.  We will always display the highest ethical standards in all that we do.  We will always expect the highest quality from our suppliers and, in return, we will treat them as we expect to be treated by our customers.


We have a commitment to maintaining our ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 certifications and to complying with the requirements of the National Highways Sector Scheme 19A standard. In particular we will consider the interests of the General Public, travelling public and other stakeholders when enhancing customer satisfaction.


We are committed to satisfying applicable requirements, fulfilling our compliance obligations and continual improvement of the IMS to enhance our quality and environmental performance; objectives and targets will be established and reviewed on a periodic basis to support our strategic direction.  These will seek to address (amongst other issues) the following key aims:


  • Sustainable growth of the Group, generating sufficient profit to finance continual improvement and growth of the business whilst providing our stakeholders with an adequate return on their investment;
  • Develop and lead employees to achieve higher levels of performance and to operate our procedures to the recognised standard of 'Investors in People';
  • Improvement of waste management, energy and fuel efficiency;
  • Improvement of resource efficiency and use of sustainable materials where possible;
  • Improvement of awareness and understanding of environmental and quality issues amongst employees.


This document will be communicated and explained to all employees and staff working on behalf of the Organisation and is freely available to the Public and relevant interested parties.
