Overview
The University placed a notice to contract NTU/20/1082/NC Painting & Decorating Services Framework in August 2020 seeking expressions of interest from potential service providers for the provision of Services under a framework agreement. On the basis of our tender submission, the University selected Hankinson Limited  to enter a framework agreement to provide Services to the University in accordance with this Framework Agreement: Painting & Decorating Services, Internal and External
 
Schedule of Works
Preparation - Ensure safe working areas, applied for all relevant permits for footpath works. 
Works required were delivered to satisfy requirements of CDM Regulations:
Supply, erect, maintain and remove upon completion of the works all access equipment required to carry out the works. Maintenance of site records including recording on site progress, producing reports, variations, etc for the duration of work. Protection of Existing Services included protecting existing fittings that may be affected by the works including, lights and light fittings, alarm boxes/sounder bases, trunking, cables, vent pipes, glazing **Grade II listed building, many items of significance** Make good any damage caused to these items.
The Works – Carried out lead tests on surfaces before commencement of works. Paint all external windows, roof lights and timber work to match existing. Paint all external metal work downpipes/ guttering etc to match existing, putty replacement and minor window care repairs. Cleaning - Ensure windowpanes are free from excess paint/putty. Ensure that any windows that are painted, are not painted shut and remove all debris created by the project, not to clean/restore fabric of the building from but not limited to ledges/roofs to satisfaction of the client. Removal of any high level plants/growth in guttering and roofs.
Communication - The following meetings were managed by Hankinson regularly with safety, health and environment as key agenda items: 
  • Pre-construction meetings
  • Daily briefings 
  • Site safety meetings 
  • Daily meetings with NTU 
  • Weekly works forecasts
