Whittle Hygienic Coatings Division is delighted to confirm that it has commenced works at Life Technologies Artcell Culture Facility extension in Scotland for main contractor, Bouygues.

The project involves the application of C/S Construction Specialties Wallflex WBA and Wallflex incorporating fibreglass reinforcement.

Both products are solvent free, low odour and are anti-microbial.  Applied in five coats along with the fibreglass tissue, Wallflex offers a highly durable, seamless, easily maintainable hygienic finish for use in the sites critical areas.

All coatings are being applied by Whittles team of Approved Applicators under the site guidance of Foreman Ken Poole.

Life Technologies currently employs 500 people at its Inchinnan Headquarters, many in the manufacture of cell culture products used in biological drug production.  The $20 Million investment will increase capabilities to support the rising demand for its products.

Life Technologies corporation is a global company with its pharmaceutical solutions being used in molecular medicine and diagnostics, stem cell based therapies, forensics, food safety and animal health.

As the containment of and research into viruses continues to grow, and is currently being highlighted in the media with increased public awareness, Whittle are working in conjunction with coatings manufacturers offering bespoke specifications to meet customer’s requirements.
