On Saturday 4th June 2016, Hankinson Group celebrated its 40th anniversary party in style with a river cruise and reception party to thank its hardworking employees and long term suppliers, who have helped the business to build on its success over four decades. Having grown from a small local business to achieving nationwide success, staff from across the country spread over six regional offices came to join in and celebrate.
The river cruise took place on iconic Mersey Ferry ‘The Snowdrop’, which was particularly apt for a company that has its roots in the heart of Merseyside. With the Liverpool skyline in the background, the party was framed by many of the impressive local contracts which we’ve had the pleasure of working on during our milestone 40 years trading, such as the new Liverpool Echo Arena, Liverpool One Shopping Centre, Albert Dock, Royal Liver Building and the Radio City Tower. Keeping it local, the guests enjoyed entertainment from the world’s most renowned Beatles tribute band, Made in Liverpool.
Oscar Cullinane of the Brighton office remarked, “It was good for our staff to see head-office and meet some of the teams from there and other offices, and on a personal note it was nice to see people in a less formal setting. It is a tremendous achievement for Hankinson to reach this marker, and clearly shows the board’s diligence and determination in keeping the company not only going for the time that it has, but also growing and adapting to the ever changing needs of their client base. It clearly shows Hankinson are a forward thinking business and one of which I (and all of the team here) are very proud to be a part of.”
All of the guests who attended were very grateful for the invite, and everybody was talking about the party for the rest of the week! David Rosser of the West Midlands said, “I know I speak for everyone from the West Bromwich Office who attended the 40th anniversary celebrations, when I say what a good time was had by all. Many thanks to Stephen, Elizabeth & Louise for organising a great event.”
Stephen Hankinson, Group Chief Executive commented “What a fantastic way to celebrate 40 years of trading. It was great to see so many people who have been a part of our journey, and it was especially fitting to have our founders, and my parents, Roy and Louise Hankinson cut the cake and help celebrate the anniversary – without their initial commitment and hard work none of this would have been possible. We are already planning for the 45th and 50th anniversary party!”
