Orbit Housing- Redecoration to a Vulnerable Residents Living Room Back

Hankinson West Midlands office are carrying out external pre-paint repair work in and around Alcester, on behalf of Orbit.

Our team have carried out various social value projects for the client over the past couple of months and Gemma has remained in close contact with Vicki the Scheme Manager at Jubilee Court.

After speaking with Vicki about our initiatives, she asked if we would be willing to support a vulnerable resident who lives locally, in Alcester, the resident has no family who visit, and due to her illness, she now has various disabilities meaning she is dependent on a carer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Vicki explained, the resident had mentioned a couple of times, how much she would love her living room painted.

Our West Midlands team offered to paint the living room as part of our “Friends of the Elderly Campaign”  

Gemma visited the resident and carer and together they decided on a colour.

Operatives Peter Stokes and Tom Howells carried out the work for the resident and PPG kindly donated the paint for this project.

We received an email from the carer to say the resident “was over the moon”
