Hankinson Recognised in Prestigious Highways England Awards 2019-2020
The Hankinson team are celebrating after picking up an award at the prestigious Highways England 2019 – 2020 Awards.
The awards, that were announced virtually over three days last week, were split into Supply Chain and Highways England awards in categories that mirror Highways England three imperatives of Safety, Customer and Delivery.
Hankinson were delighted to be part of the award-winning team that was successful in the Delivery Category. The winning team included Highways England, A1+, Freyssinet, In-Spec, Jacobs, Lyndon’s/SGB and Versco.
The award recognised the excellent supply chain collaboration on the M62 River Ouse Bridge Bearing Replacement.
The judges said, “it was a fantastic example of how bringing together collaboration from the outset can introduce innovation into the most challenging of projects”.
Nick Harris acting Chief Executive of Highways England said the awards “recognise those that were delivering great projects and sharing best practise”.
New Kershaw, Hankinson operations lead on the project said “I am immensely proud of the team on this project. Collaboration has always been an integral part of our DNA and it means a lot to us all when our efforts are recognised, particularly at such a prestigious event”.
