This year Hankinson celebrates 45 years of trading and to acknowledge this significant milestone, we have donated 45 Christmas hampers to worthy customers in the communities we work.

This campaign was supported by some of Hankinson Group’s long-standing suppliers including AkzoNobel, Brewers Decorators Centre, PPG, Birkenhead Car and Van Hire, West Wallasey Fleet Hire Services and Genair UK, their support was much appreciated.

Our West Midlands office carried out external and internal pre-paint repair work on behalf of First Choice Housing Association, and after careful consideration they decided to give, two hampers to the ex-service men and women at Ty Dewr.

The accommodation is owned by First Choice Housing Association, but managed by the Salvation Army.

Ty Dewr provides temporary accomodation for up to two years for those who find themselves homeless, the service support 12 ex members of the armed forces aged 18 years and upwards, they provide shelter, support, physical and spiritual wellbeing, they are currently supporting 11 males and 1 female.

Their aim is to address the cycle of homelessness and any other factors such as alcoholism, drug addiction and mental health issues.

Their support teams, work closely with the residents to guide and support them through finding a more permanent place to live, they also offer advise and knowledge to help them live successfully in their own home.

We have found working with this organisation a privilege and we were grateful for the opportunity to support them with our hamper donation.

Group Chairman Stephen Hankinson said “ I am so pleased that we were able to recognise our 45 years trading by giving something back to the communities that have been part of our history – 2020 has been a difficult year for us all and hopefully this small contribution bought a little bit of joy and happiness.”

Our North West office are carrying out roofline works in Gamesley, Derbyshire on behalf of High Peaks Borough Council, after careful consideration they decided to donate some hampers to families within the community.

Kim Gilmore Community Manager commented “This is really going to brighten up Christmas for families”

The team also donated hampers to 2 volunteers, who have continuously gone above and beyond this year, to help people in need, giving their time, to families within their community.

Well done on going that extra mile”
