We were delighted to hear back from Jeff Stunell from Client Mears about his trip to Africa. Hankinson made a donation towards his costs.
Jeff visited two orphanages in and around Johannesburg, South Africa arranged by the Footprints Foundation.
Whilst there he worked on various projects including fitting a kitchen, hanging doors, turning two portacabins into libraries and also painting and playing games and football with the children.
He reported that there are a staggering 15 million orphans in a population of 80 million .
What he found amazing was that not one of the children he met was unhappy.
He commented that the trip had certainly put things into perspective for him and his group. Jeff is now hoping to return next year.
