Roy Hankinson Group scooped the Supreme Champion award at the 2006 Construction News Awards beating off strong competition from 58 short-listed firms across the UK.
It won its category – finishing and fit-out – and then went on to beat winners from 13 other categories to win the overall award.
Group Chief Executive, Stephen Hankinson, accepted the award at a ceremony at London’s Park Lane Hilton Hotel.
Judges said “with its wide range of skills, Hankinson deals with an unusually broad range of clients, all with quite distinct priorities and requirements. Its client testimonials were all excellent.”
The firm’s award citation also read “the company’s performance on site, its approach to the way it conducts business and the way it treats employees and suppliers all made a deep impression on the judges. The quality and variety of work it undertakes are exceptional and its pursuit of collaborative working practices has yielded excellent results for its customers”.
Mr Hankinson said “to win this supreme prize was just a fantastic achievement and a reward for all the hard work by everybody at the company and a fitting way to celebrate our 30 years of trading”.
