Kibble Palace

Kibble Palace is one of our largest contracts in Scotland and is the most specialised to complete. Kibble Palace is very similar to a contract we had completed previously in Sefton Palm House, Liverpool. The painting of Kibble Palace has come a long way since the first time it was initially mentioned and is nearly 90% complete now. Painting such a structure takes some time as a number of specialist procedures have to be followed for both quality purposes and also health and safety. While the paint from the original iron is being stripped the waste has to be specially disposed of as it is contaminated plus a specialist had been brought in to repair any weakness in the old structure such as rust. Once each of the processes are complete specialist paint systems are used, giving a coating half a millimeter thick to ensure that the work has a 20 year life span.
